The Essence of ResilienceIt all started when we faced a loss of around ₹50,000 in Nifty—money that belonged to a friend’s mother. That loss hit us hard, but instead of giving up, it gave us the motivation to earn it back—the right way.
Our first venture, “Holy Clean”, taught us valuable lessons, but it didn't take off. During that time, our supplier, who was in the perfume materials business, advised us to explore perfumery. Months later, a new idea struck.
While working at a college event, I (Dev) saw vendors at stalls and thought, "why can't we do this?" We decided to sell attars, but our supplier gave us a fresh, game-changing idea—to create perfumes *live* in front of customers.
It was unique, bold, and exciting. With his guidance, we learned the process and prepared ourselves for our first-ever perfume stall.
Our story begins not with success, but with a ₹50,000 Nifty loss. This setback became the driving force to build something real and earn back what was lost.
Inspired by college stalls, our supplier gave us a game-changing twist: "Create perfumes live." We learned the craft, ready for our first test.
We set up our first stall in college. With a small ₹6,000 investment, our team (Dev, Avika, Ishita, Priyansh) made ₹13,000 in sales. That moment changed everything.
On Dev's birthday, he invested his father's gift money into this dream. The next day, Essentiora was officially born.
From designing potli bags to learning from failed stalls and celebrating huge successes, we honed our brand. Customers loved the live, custom experience.
Now, we're registering Essentiora as a company and launching our website, carrying one promise: to make every fragrance tell our story.
